I am Shonima S hailing from my native place at Kottoor in Trivandrum. I am currently residing at Pallimukku in Kollam district. My husband’s name is Najimudeen and have two sons; the elder one is pursuing medicine in Karnataka and the latter is studying in 9th standard at GVHS,Chingeli. I started my career as a High School Assistant (VHSS Paruthippally) in 1993 after completing my B.Ed the same year. I also did my high school education in the same school. I worked there three years alongside the teachers who taught me. It was a gratifying experience having them to support and encourage me. They liked me as I was always ahead in academics. There I handled Physics and Chemistry classes for 10th Standard. After a while, I got another appointment as a Second Grade Assistant in P.S.C Office, Pattom via Employment Exchange. It was after this, I flew to Saudi Arabia to be with my husband. I stayed there for about ten years, where I worked in different schools and taught different syllabi (British, American etc) to students of various countries. That was an excellent opportunity for me to learn new lessons and adopt new methodologies of teaching. I was appealing to both the children and authorities over there. I also handled home tuitions for children of different countries. I believe my vast experience abroad helped me improve my skillset as a teacher and I still use them. While in Saudi, I completed my Hajj and performed several Umras. After I returned to India, I taught in many schools under State, CBSE and ICSE syllabi. Last year I got a chance to participate in CBSE evaluation at TKM School, Kollam. Finally, I would like to continue as a teacher throughout my life with pleasure.
